Today we got a late start and Mason Williams and myself left my home in Cocoa Beach at 7:30AM heading for some kingfish action at Pelican Flats to get some fish for the smoker. Stopped in the Port and loaded up on Pogies and was lucky enough to load up two other boats as well. Off to Pelican and although they weren't chewing real well we were able to catch 6 within a couple of hours. Also picked up one of the Dolphin on the "downrigger" set at 50' believe it or not. Then we took off running and found a board with nobody home in 140' and thanks to Masons keen eyesight he found some birds chasing flyers being pursued by the other two dolphin. There was also a large bull with the two cows, however, he had lockjaw and wouldn't even look at anything alive or dead. Back in the port by 3:00 PM. Had a great time.
