Meer & Uncle Mohammed from Canada
Today I had the pleasure of fishing with Meer who teaches at Brevard Community College and his uncle Mohammed who owns and international market and catering service in Canada. According to what Meer told me today's mission was to fulfill a long standing wish to go deep sea fishing for Mohammed. Fortunately for me the pogies were still available and one toss of the cast net and the live well was loaded. Today I decided to fish up at 8A reef and all day there were only two other boats on the reef all morning with us. Action was not fast or furious but steady and we had more than enough action to keep us busy until we decided to head in at 1:30 PM. Mohammed was able to make good on his dream that he wanted to fulfill by catching an 18 pound 9 ounce kingfish while Meer's kingfish topped the scales at 21 pounds 10 ounces. As the pictures show below we had a nice mess of fish for the cook out and the crew seemed to be very happy with today's catch. It was a beautiful day and I had a great time as well. Final tally for the day: |
