Today my crew were fishin buddies Buck, Freddy & Roy and we left with all of the intentions of going bottom fishing with pogies. Wrong, we ran all the way down to Eau Gallie Blvd from PC without seeing nary a pogie and then like a dummy I ran the beach all the way back to the pier without seeing nary a pogie.

Fortunately I had the foresight to bring along two boxes of spinning minnows (Spanish Sardines) which we used to catch a couple of Bonito and the Kingfish for bait. The cold water must be here because we weren't able to find any sardines or cigar minnows at what normally are pretty reliable bait stops for me.

We kep busy most of the morning catching our limit of kings and a bunch of sharks and after catching the bonito we went out to do a little bottom bumping. Roy managed a really decent Flounder and we had a bunch of short Red Snapper.

6 fish limit of Kingfish
4 barely legal Mahi-Mahi
1 Lane Snapper
1 Trigger Fish
1 Doormat Flounder
2 Bonito used for bottom bait
Many Sharks released
