Today my crew consisted of a my Brother, his wife, my youngest son John and Alan Coxe from Davie, Fl. We met at the ramp at 6 am and crossed to the other side comfortably at 31 kts..

It was a little sporty on the other side most of the day with seas averaging 3-4 feet where we were but, the new 12 KW Furuno radar worked flawlessly to say the least and we found a number of packs of birds. The first hookup resulted in 50 - 60# tuna reduced to just a 10# chunk of meat by the man in the brown suit. For whatever reason we couldn't get multiple hook ups and got them one at a time. I think the balao we were using were to large, much larger that the bait they were pounding. Oh well, it just gives me a reason to go after them again

Most notable catch of the day went to my brothers wife Linda with a 20# Yellowfin caught on 20# spin tackle, her first yellowfin.

Final tally for the day:
4 & 1/3 Yellowfin Tuna
1 Skippy released.

Linda, Bob & Alan with her first Yellowfin caught on 20# spin

Bob & Alan with one for the table
