Tony Calfee half day with his son Brandon and best bud John

Today my fishing buddies were Tony Calfee with his son Brandon who brought along his best friend John Myhre for a half day introduction to offshore fishing. Tony is no stranger to the Goin Off when back on 5/27/2009 he went to the "other side" and scored on a Blue Marlin and a 50 pound Mahi-Mahi.
The plan for today was to bend a few rods and keep Brandon and John as busy as possible to et them as fired up as Tony about offshore fishing. We ran down the beach and got the pogies down near the steeple and proceeded on to 8A for some slow trolling. It wasn't long before both boys were bowed up and before the dust settled we were able to catch a total of 16 Kings, a Cobia and a bunch of Atlantic Sharpnose Sharks.
The weather was fair with calm winds and smooth seas and the fish were biting from start to finish. Not a bad introduction to offshore fishing at all.

Final tally for the day:
16 Kingfish to 30#
1 Cobia
A bunch of Atlantic Sharpnose Sharks released

A pair of Kings for Brandon and John.
