Today my fishing buddies were Carol, Matt and David Pierce from Central Florida with good friends Lisa and Tom Duncheskie vacationing from Clarksville, Tn. David has fished with me before with his buddies and today it was a family day out with good friends. The mission today was to take the ladies out and do our best to put the on some fish that would pull back and according to Carol she and Lisa wanted to catch a "pink" fish as well.
    First order of business as usual was to run down the beach and get a well full of pogies which was easily accomplished down near the steeple. We then proceeded to 8A reef for a little slow trolling. We fished 8A for about 3 hours and managed to catch six kingfish to 25# along with a bunch of Atlantic Sharpnose Shark and decide to move on to a little bottom fishing so that we could get back to the dock a little earlier than normal. I proceeded to one of my bottom numbers to the north and we were able to satisfy Carol's request to catch a pink fish and although we released a number of short snapper we were able to bag a total of four keeper red "pink" snapper. We also caught and released a short Cobia as well while bottom fishing.
    We started our ride back to the dock on a totally flat ocean and finished our day early as planned with a great catch and some really good memories.
