Today my fishing buddies were a pick up crew where Matt Karas posted on Craig's list to share a charter on the Goin Off. David Meredith from Murfeesboro, Tn answered the post and he and his son David shared the day with Matt, Whitney and Kent Roberts from Satellite Beach.
    Picked up pogies as usual and headed to 8A for a little slow trolling and the bite was a little slow and after about 4 hours we were able to boat one keeper Cobia, a few sharks and three nice kings to 20#. We then finished our day up north a my snapper hole and had three keeper snapper a few short grouper released, and Octopus, another short Cobia and a few keeper Sea Bass.
    All in all the dog days of summer are here and with the heat, the sharks and the calm seas we did pretty good with enough fish at the end of the day and some new friends.

Final tally for the day:
3 Red Snapper with a few released to grow up
3 Kingfish to 20# kept for the table
2 Cobia with one released to grow up
5 Atlantic Sharpnose Sharks
A few Sea Bass
1 Octopus
