Today my fishing buddies were Allan and Caitlyn Beaver and Debbie and Ed Duckett vacationing in Cocoa Beach to enjoy a holiday weekend and the order of the day was to have some fun fishing and put together enough fish to feed the family.
    The first task today, as usual was to get a net full of pogies and we were able to procure them fairly easily off of the beach in Cocoa Beach. Since fishing had been so reliable recently I made the decision to return to 8A reef for some slow trolling.
    Unfortunately for my crew today the sea conditions were a little bumpy and the breezy conditions was  a little too much for Caitlyn and she spent most of the day a little queasy. She was a trooper though and wasn't going to let a little sea sickness get in the way of her catching her first deep sea fish. Fishing today was a little slow and with the bumpy and breezy conditions slow trolling was a little difficult. We did miss a number of opportunities to boat a few more kings, however, we did get the job done with enough king for a really good meal.

6 Kingfish kept for the table
1 Jack Crevalle released to grow up.
2 or 3 Remora released
