A half day mixed bag for the Willlis family

Today my fishing buddies were Henry, Matt, and Christie Willis and Matt's girlfriend Cailey for a half day of fishing. As usual first order of business was to procure a live well of pogies which was easily accomplished just south of the Cocoa Beach pier in ten feet of water.
We fished the half day at 8A reef and there was absolutely no wind and it was unbelievably hot and the slow bite showed it.

Final tally for the day:
2 1/2 Kingfish.
1 Barracuda
2 Bonito
A bunch of Remora

Henry bowed up on a fish that took a really long first run.

A Bonito, a member of the tuna family, a great fight but,
no value on the dinner table here.

Christie, follows up with a Barracuda, may be the one
that mutilated the Kingfish.

Christie is bowed up again and this time, ...

It's dinner, a nice sized Kingfish

Cailey nabs a nice Kingfish as well, guess what's for dinner?

Today's half day crew.
(Notice the mutilated Kingfish hanging next to Christie)
