Today my fishing buddies the Dr. Lance Armstrong, his lady friend Heather, her son Adrian and their friend Gary. We started the day as usual getting a live well full fo Pogies down by the steeple here in Cocoa Beach and then made the 18 mile run to 8A reef.

We arrived to 8A reef and were greeted with a steady bite and a number of double headers and a few lost to cut offs and pulled hooks. We were able to catch or limit of ten kingfish pretty quickly and with catch and release for another hour or so. We caught and/or released a total of sixteen kings at 8A. We finished our day drowning ballyhoo for Mahi and in four hours of trolling were only rewarded with one knockdown from a very small fish that didn't get hooked up.

The weather was fantastic and a good time was had by all and a full cooler of fish was taken home for tonight's meal and a few more.

Final tally for the day:
10 Kingfish 8 and 20 pounds with another six released to grow up.
1 Bonito released to grow up.
