Michael and Dan from the British Isles bend a rod.

Today my fishing buddies were Michael Shields and Dan Gwynne who are visiting our from England and are on holiday with their families. Today was the guys day off from their family duties and the required attendance to the various theme parks over in Orlando. Today is the first time the Dan has ever had the opportunity to go deep sea fishing to the pressure was on to ensure that we bent some rods and caught enough to take back to their villa in Orlando to feed the family.
First stop as usual was a trip down the beach to the steeple to get a well full of pogies for live bait and to facilitate the slow trolling that is such an effective method to put some meat on the table. I decided not to fish 8A today because of the recent blow we have had and because it's been a while since I fished at Pelican Flats.
Upon arrival to Pelican Flats I got hit as I was letting out the first pogie and it was game on for Dan for his first blue water fish and it turned out to be a kingfish of about ten pounds. While Dan was fighting his king I let another bait out and got Michael hooked also and we had our day start with a double. The bit was consistent and we mixed in five large Jack Crevalle with the nine Kingfish we caught for the day.
We finished our day with both Michael and Dan doubled up on a pair of really large Crevalle and ran back to the port on a absolutely glassy flat ocean an some sore arms and shoulders from the bent rods we had all day. There was a bunch of tasty Kingfish filets to turn in to an English favorite meal of "fish and chips".

Final tally for day two:
9 Kingfish between 8 and 15 pounds with a limit of 6 kept for dinner
5 Jack Crevalle released to fight another day

Dan bowed up on his first blue fish.
