Good friends John and Les catch a few Kingfish and a Mahi

Today my fishing buddies were John Piggot and his friend Les Bannister visiting from Canada. Started the day as usual with a nice ride up the river and a passage through Canaveral Locks. We ran down the beach in search of pogies and weren't able to locate them until we were south of the steeple. One toss of the net and we were set.

Off to 8A we went and after two hours of slow trolling on a very  slow bite we were able to toss three decent kings in the box for dinner with anothe nice king pulling the hooks at boatside.

Final tally for the day:
3 Kingfish between 8 and 12 pounds
1 Mahi-Mahi about10 pounds.

John fighting our first fish at 8A.
