Frank and Joy from Dayton, Ohio
really bend some rods.

Today my fishing buddies were the Frank and Joy Duncan a really delightful couple from Dayton, Ohio. When Frank booked the charter he told me that all they wanted to do is get some action offshore. After the usual hunt for live bait which proved successful in 30 feet of water off of the steeple in Cocoa Beach we headed offshore to Pelican Flats where I had been commercial fishing for kings on the previous two days.
Having been successful on the previous two days in catching just under a thousand pounds of kingfish I had a pretty good idea that the bite would be on again today and my suspicions were right on. We had virtually non-stop action all day except for the mid-day hours when we took a break and went looking for Mahi for a couple of hours.
We finished our day with a flat calm ride home at 32 knots and sore arms and we only kept a a limit of kings out of the thirty plus we had caught to show for our efforts. I love it when a plan comes together.

Final tally for the day:
2 Bluefish
30+ Kingfish caught with 8 kept for the table

Joy bowed up with one of many kings.

And the fish is a Kingfish meanwhile Frank is bowed up again.

Frank and Joy bowed up and loving life!

A pair of nice kings for Frank and Joy.

This Bluefish and another one like it ate a trolled Ballyhoo?

Frank and Joy with a nice hang of Kingfish
