The Laquian family's half day offshore
with sharks and an unusual catch.

Today my fishing buddies were the Laquian family Haydee a co-worker with my wife, her daughter Ava and Haydee's parents Jo and Rod who are visiting from Canada. My bud Donnie Poston went for the ride as my mate.
We started our day by getting a net full of large pogies in the port with a bonus catch of two bluefish as well. After getting bait we headed to 8A reef in hopes of Cobia and Kingfish, however, is just didn't play out the way I planned. Unfortunately the cobes didn't show and the water was way to cold for the kingfish and all we were able to catch were a few very small sharks and a ribbonfish.

Final tally for the day:
2 Bluefish
5 Sharpnose Sharks released
1 Ribbonfish with a big appetite

Ava with one of many sharks today.

Haydee with a very large Ribbonfish.
